Piano Tuning and Repair

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When can you tune my piano?

A:  I offer convenient scheduling options including day, evening and weekend appointments.

Q: Why does my piano go out of  tune?
A: Humidity variations cause a piano's soundboard to expand and contract which directly changes the pressure on your piano's bridge and strings. The result is the string tension increases when it is humid and decreases when it is dry.

Q: How do you tune?
A:
I use an electronic tuner for pitch adjustments then I set the temperament and tune by ear.

Q: What payment forms do you accept?
A:
Cash or Check.

Q: Do you ever cancel appointments?
A:
In the event of bad weather not suitable for driving I may opt to  reschedule the appointment with as much advance notice as possible
