Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why does my piano go out of tune?
A: H
umidity variations cause a piano's soundboard to expand and contract which directly changes the pressure on the piano's bridge, strings and tuning pins.  The result is string tension and your piano's pitch increases when it is humid and decreases when it is dry.  The best way to keep your piano in tune and protect your investment is to have a humidity control system installed in your piano.

Q: How much does a tuning cost?
A:  Rates are competitive and reasonable.  Need repair? Please contact me for an estimate.

Q: What payment forms do you accept?

A: Cash or check.  Invoicing is available for institutions.

Q:Can you recommend a piano mover?
A: I recommend Tom Seekon at Piano Moving Express (612) 644 9715.

Q: Do you tune organs?
A:
No, but if you send an email I will refer you to a great organ tuner in the Twin Cities Metro.

Q: How is your website powered by renewable energy?
A:
The website hosting company I use purchases Renewable Energy Certificates in the form of wind energy to offset its energy use. In other words the servers, data centers and offices supporting www.PapagenoPianoTuning.com are powered by renewable energy.
